Description
Largely undiscovered, the rugged Albanian Alps possess a wild and outstanding natural beauty. This is a land with a captivating history; of ancient blood feuds and folklore, and where agricultural life has remained unchanged for years. After winter snowfall, the remote mountains around Valbonë and the Kosovan border offer some fantastic snowshoe routes passing alpine meadows, rural hamlets, peaks and forest. There’s time too for sightseeing in Prizren (Kosovo’s capital of culture) before heading back to Tirana.
